Science Teachers Needed to Design Engaging, NGSS-Aligned Lessons!

LabXchange is seeking 20 dynamic middle and high school educators with a deep understanding of the NGSS framework and a passion for creating engaging, effective middle and high school science lessons. If you are excited about innovative teaching methodologies, collaboration with a diverse group of educators, and the chance to shape the future of science education, we invite you to apply for the unique opportunity to be a LabXchange Teacher Ambassador, detailed below.

During the 3-month design project, Teacher Ambassadors will utilize LabXchange’s platform and resources to develop hybrid lessons that seamlessly integrate online and in-person components. These lessons will engage students in science exploration and experimentation, critical thinking exercises, and scientific inquiry, all while addressing the NGSS standards. By participating in this project, educators will contribute to the advancement of science education and have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on student learning.

Harvard University’s LabXchange is a free, interactive platform that offers a vast array of resources including virtual labs, simulations, and interactives. Customizable tools empower educators to create transformative learning experiences, tailored to meet the unique needs of their students. Through LabXchange, teachers can access high-quality content, collaborate with fellow educators, and track student progress, making it an invaluable resource for modern science education.

Time commitment:

July–September 2023. Teacher Ambassadors will be required to participate in a 2-day onboarding training on July 10-11, 2023 from 9:00am–2:00pm EST. (Check your time zone here.)

Benefits of participation:

  • $4,000 stipend for the development of 10 lesson plans with supporting resources and materials. Participants will be paid per each completed and published lesson plan over the course of the three months.
