Created at Harvard University with support from the Amgen Foundation, LabXchange makes high-quality science education accessible and gives learners and educators, everywhere, the courage to chart a meaningful path in science—for free.
The goal of this cluster is to expose learners to fundamental concepts and lab techniques essential to the field of biotechnology, including creating a recombinant plasmid and expressing and purifying a protein of interest. For those using this cluster as part of a hybrid ABE experience, please see implementation details in the individual pathway descriptions.

Science has given our kids a tough time, because of language barriers. As much as one sees the challenges of our vernacular being sidelined, the LabXchange isiZulu translation project is a start to forcing our way through. As the Office of His Majesty, we throw all our weight behind you.

This is a very good learning and science sharing platform. It is rare to find a science teaching website with free, high quality content. The design and contents of the labxchange website are a perfect match for my module - recombinant DNA technology. The simulations helped prepare my students for actual laboratory experience, which means spending less time during the practical sessions. I am satisfied with my teaching outcome after using the website. My students loved it!

This is really great content. It's content I wish I had growing up. Actually, it's things you have to go look for in books to find them explained well. And it's really frustrating when you see something explained well later in life, and wonder, why didn't my teachers explain it this way?

I have really enjoyed using LabXchange for my senior students, especially when we were teaching fully online: it was a real help.
